FAMILY & MATERNAL HEALTH
Georgia is consistently ranked in the bottom for maternal and infant health, and recently received an F grade in maternal health from the March of Dimes. Timoria's Bold Plan to address the state's maternal health crisis will extend postpartum Medicaid coverage, fund doula services and birth centers, mandate patient-centered provider training, and increase access to reproductive resources and education.
Timoria's plan also specifically invests in preventing and managing chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease, obesity, autoimmune disorders, and diabetes by supporting and expanding community-based health programs.
