FAMILY & MATERNAL HEALTH

Georgia is consistently ranked in the bottom for maternal and infant health, and recently received an F grade in maternal health from the March of Dimes. Timoria's Bold Plan to address the state's maternal health crisis will extend postpartum Medicaid coverage, fund doula services and birth centers, mandate patient-centered provider training, and increase access to reproductive resources and education.

Timoria's plan also specifically invests in preventing and managing chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease, obesity, autoimmune disorders, and diabetes by supporting and expanding community-based health programs.

MENTAL HEALTH & RECOVERY

Georgia's mental health system is in crisis, leaving our most vulnerable families without the care they urgently need.

Timoria's Bold Plan will launch a major workforce initiative to recruit professionals for underserved communities. Timoria will advocate for expanding Medicaid coverage to reach more Georgians and for building a crisis response system in which mental health professionals answer the call before tragedy strikes. By tackling root causes like trauma, substance abuse, lack of housing, and transportation, Timoria will build a system that is accessible, compassionate, and equitable for everyone in our state.

HUNGER & FOOD INSECURITY

More than 1 in 7 Georgians struggle to feed themselves and their families, and nearly 1 in 5 children go hungry every day. Timoria's Bold Plan to end hunger will centralize distribution and cooperation for Georgia government agencies, cut the red tape blocking good-will Samaritans, and deliver safe, clean food so that no one will go hungry in Georgia.

HOMEOWNERS & RENTERS

Our community is facing a silent emergency. Many families are one missed paycheck or one medical bill away from losing their homes, while others feel trapped, unable to move to a home that fits their changing needs right here in District 68. Some, are forced to leave the district because they can't afford to purchase a starter home or rent an apartment. Timoria's Bold Plan includes a locally targeted initiative to address acute housing insecurity in District 68. Its primary goals are to prevent homelessness and displacement, combat "housing lock-in", and preserve neighborhood character with support for all residents, including seniors, veterans, educators, and small landlords.

VOTING RIGHTS

Georgia's voting rights issues sit at the intersection of history, race, partisan politics, and election administration. The state is defined by a clash between efforts to tighten voting rules (framed as "election integrity") and vigorous opposition arguing these rules create unnecessary barriers that disproportionately disenfranchise minority voters and undermine democracy.

Timoria's Bold Plan will transform Georgia's election system into one that actively protects voter health, assesses predictable planning factors, and removes procedural barriers that disproportionately harm medically vulnerable populations.

SCHOOLS & EDUCATION

Georgia's public schools are in distress, and state government has failed to provide our children with the basic educational needs for more than 20 years. As a result, students, teachers, and parents are struggling to keep up with the many challenges and demands from day-to-day. Timoria's Bold Plan to prepare our children for successful and rewarding lives will fully fund our public schools, end the shortage of qualified educators and support staff, and provide opportunities for all students after high school graduation.

COMMUNITY & ENVIRONMENT

Preserving community and environmental character, health, and financial well-being is a non-negotiable priority. Timoria's Bold Plan requires consent from our communities for major industrial projects, provides protection, prevents cumulative harm, and levels the playing field between corporations and residents.

CONSTITUENT SERVICE

Voter apathy and disengagement are often driven by unresponsive leadership. Elected officials possess a wealth of knowledge and resources that constituents need and deserve access to. Timoria's Bold Plan for engaging with and caring for the people will provide educational materials on critical issues, act as a guide through the complicated processes of government, and secure leadership opportunities for our talented youth.
